abillybob Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Hey Guys Just a quickie, why is it that every time I have to reset a Users password on AD does then the Mac start flashing up about different Keychains and wants the old password inputting!? The whole reason I changed their passwords is because they don't know their old one so why are you asking me for it grrr!? Any ideas how to stop this?
DMcCoy Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Because it needs the old password to open the keychain to update the password to the new one. If you change the password from the Mac it will do it for you. I used keychain minder to prompt users to either update the password or delete the keychain if they had forgotten it. I don't know if this works on newer versions as I've not tried it. If you don't know the old password then all you can do is delete it and start a new one.
