howartp Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Our kids are having a whale of a time using this feature to edit pages and screenshot them. Unfortunately one of them has just well and truly crossed the line this morning, turning a heartbreaking story about one of our students into something referring to pornography then distributing it to their peers. Any idea how to disable right-click then 'inspect element'? I used to disable right-click but they need to right-click, save-picture-as. Peter
free780 Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 (edited) Disable the dev tools in group policy. http://www.sevenforums.com/attachments/tutorials/145253d1300952414-internet-explorer-f12-developer-tools-enable-disable-gpedit-1.jpg Edited September 24, 2014 by free780
howartp Posted September 24, 2014 Author Posted September 24, 2014 That only disables F12 from what I've read - it doesn't remove the inspect element. We have a policy in RM CC4 which says it disables Dev tools for IE8-10 but it doesn't mention 11, though I'm assuming it's the same gpo key. Peter
saintoctopus Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 Sorry - I know this is two years old...but does anyone know how to do this please? I've disabled Developer Tools via GP, but the Inspect Element option still allows them to edit web pages... which is irritating to say the least! Any thoughts lovely people?
