Google Vault

Can anyone point me in the right direction.

 

I'm trying to add Google vault to our GAFE but I'll be dammed if I can figure out how.

 

I mailed Google - got a response from the US saying a UK representative would contact me the next day, that was a week ago.

 

Can one of you lovely people advise how I get this setup,

Yep I saw - might explain why it took so long to get a reply - ironically 2 days after the announcement I got a reply from a Google partner.

Anyone heard anything more on this? Google said it would be released by the end of December, but we've not got it yet...

It's there, look under apps - it's at the bottom of the list - however ours isn't working for some reason.

Ours is working but I haven't figured out how to use it yet!

Yes indeed, I can see it now. It wasn't there last week, and no email from Google to inform me of its release!!

Ours is working now, strange - It's as easy as creating a new Matter (?) and just doing a search ,it'll come in handy for those Google drive files people keep "losing"

Has it started working with Drive as well as Email? As far as I know it only works with email. See my post on the other Google thread.

It does work, I just listed the contents of a colleagues drive (with his permission) and it listed the contents - you can also view them. Will come in handy with safeguarding.

But not if the user deleted the file from both their drive and the bin.

That's possibly an acceptable risk, as it requires a deliberate intention to delete a file, not just doing so my accident.

Then for drive its a search facility not a method of retention

Did it just appear in your Admin console or in your apps?

 

I don't appear to have it yet, which is a bit frustrating.

Ah! I've just checked in my 'Apps' and it is there but disabled. Turning it on now!
