TIOAOA Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Can anyone point me in the right direction. I'm trying to add Google vault to our GAFE but I'll be dammed if I can figure out how. I mailed Google - got a response from the US saying a UK representative would contact me the next day, that was a week ago. Can one of you lovely people advise how I get this setup, Ta in advance
rob_coles Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 http://www.refractiv.co.uk You have to buy it from a uk reseller and they get it applied

TIOAOA Posted October 8, 2014 Author Posted October 8, 2014 Yep I saw - might explain why it took so long to get a reply - ironically 2 days after the announcement I got a reply from a Google partner. Thanks anyways
enjay Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Anyone heard anything more on this? Google said it would be released by the end of December, but we've not got it yet...
caffrey Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 It's there, look under apps - it's at the bottom of the list - however ours isn't working for some reason.
fiza Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Ours is working but I haven't figured out how to use it yet!
enjay Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Yes indeed, I can see it now. It wasn't there last week, and no email from Google to inform me of its release!!
caffrey Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Ours is working now, strange - It's as easy as creating a new Matter (?) and just doing a search ,it'll come in handy for those Google drive files people keep "losing"

As far as I know it only works with email. See my post on the other Google thread. http://www.edugeek.net/forums/cloud-services/142929-google-apps-unlimited-space-4.html#post1273036
enjay Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 See my reply on your other post :-) https://support.google.com/vault/answer/6049740 I haven't tried actually using it yet, though...
caffrey Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 It does work, I just listed the contents of a colleagues drive (with his permission) and it listed the contents - you can also view them. Will come in handy with safeguarding.

enjay Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 But not if the user deleted the file from both their drive and the bin. That's possibly an acceptable risk, as it requires a deliberate intention to delete a file, not just doing so my accident.

Tall_Paul Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Did it just appear in your Admin console or in your apps? I don't appear to have it yet, which is a bit frustrating. - - - Updated - - - Ah! I've just checked in my 'Apps' and it is there but disabled. Turning it on now!
