Google Chromeache!

We are having some major issues with Google Chrome

 

On some machines / users it starts the chrome.exe process but doesn't actually open a Chrome window, and in a more interesting twist recently when some staff / students log in they are automatically greeted by 3 Google Chrome windows opening!

 

What on earth is going on? At least Internet Explorer can manage to allow users to surf the net, Chrome is driving me up the wall!
