zx2012 Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Some of our PCs keep loosing their connection to the server after a few minutes. The desktop goes blank and you cant even do Start cmd as cmd is not found! This has been happening for a few months now. We have 3 network cards on our Dell T101 server. The two Broadcom ones which have recently been teamed. The server has recently been moved to a building a 1000bit network with a fibre link to our old building. Nothing is using the Intel network card. Power Management is enabled. The Duplex setting is set to Disabled. Is this normal. Do network card settings have to be changed on the server you do you just leave them as all the defaults? On all client PCs(Windows 7 64 bit) Should any settings on those be changed such as Duplex or Ethernet Energy Efficiency? In there an easy way to restore all the card's setting by say removing the driver and reinstalling? Is it worth updating BIOSs and Network Card drivers on all the PCs.
