Skype Blocked

Just trying to get Skype working here in school and it says it can't connect. Our LA controls the web access etc so what pages should I ask them to unblock, just Skype.com? Tried going to the Skype login page on a browser and it comes up but no graphics just the text.

Sadly it isn't too simple! Skype don't seem to list any IPs or URLs anywhere, but instead just list that it must have unrestricted access to port 80, 443 or all ports above 1024.

 

We implemented that here by doing it for a single internal IP address and only allowing Skype on that single PC.

Wouldn't mind but had it working at one stage way back when, then LA changed filtering and now its a no go again! Ah well, put it in their hands now.
