MattDLEA Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Has anyone done this or something similar. We have a nas box which has a folder called teacher that is shared with all the teachers. Now we need to create a dropbox folder in there so that we can share pictures automatically from ipads. So basically the reception teacher on her ipad has dropbox and her camera roll synced thats easy enough to do. But I need that dropbox folder to then be on the NAS box and shared with a few other teachers so that they can get the files from PC. Does that make sense
GREED Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 (edited) I tried this a while back, you can do it but you need to set up 'symbolic links' to your network drive, as inherently Dropbox doesn't allow you to sync a network drive. I cannot remember the link but search for 'symbolic link' and you'll get a set of C# applets to install. This then makes a network drive appear to be a local drive and then away you go. abillybob Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 @MattDLEA, have you had a look into Tondio? This would do what you're looking for, work on all mobile devices including computers and is very easy to setup. Tonido | Run your own Personal Cloud
MattDLEA Posted September 3, 2014 Author Posted September 3, 2014 OK if this doesnt have to be on a networked drive but still on a teachers log on is that going to cause problems?
