Why are some people so stupid - inappropriate behaviour by a teacher

Sad to read about yet another case of inappropriate teacher / pupil contact and falsifying data on the BBC web today. Well done to the schools IT team for catching the chap but it leaves me wondering why yet again a teacher (Head of Department at that) would be so naive to think that he might get away with such behaviour.

Result, the sixteen year old lass has been corrupted and the 37 year teacher with what looked like a promising career ahead of him is now disgraced and on the scrap heap.

Just along the road from you @speckytecky Dependence on computers has seen a lot of people "banged-up" or sacked.

Continued. Whist he was suspended. Throw the book at him.
