Here's a little brain teaser.

We've just installed our new Ruckus Wifi, and setup the Portal pages for users that need Active Directory authentication without any issues..

However it always loads the page as the ZoneDirectors IP address (plus the self signed certificate but that's a minor niggle)

I admit we're still waiting for the commissioning procedure to finish, but thought I'd ask if anyone else has managed to get their Ruckus Portal page to be a FQDN instead of just an IP address.

At least that way I can see about getting an official SSL for £35 so users don't get nagged for a self signed certificate and it would look nicer to go to http://wireless.schoolname instead of http://10.1.4.250

I believe the address depends on the certificate. We requested a certificate as a subdomain of our normal web address. Ie. wifi.school.com. Upload the cert and that address becomes the default.

Yep the certificate renewal with a FQDN worked wonders, although I did have to then create a new zone in my guest vLans DNS server to point the FQDN I had chosen to the Zone Director's IP address since it was on a different address range.
