DirectAccess - Cannot resolve FQDN (Intranet) can resolve IP POST DirectAccess Implem

GPO CONFIG.docxI can replicate this issue quite easily now, here's my issue!

 

Deployed DirectAccess (1 NIC, 2012r2, behind a NAT)

Deployed GPO to machine, works as desired off the CorpNet

When on the CorpNet (wired) no problem!

When on the CorpNet (Wireless) we have an issue.

 

Issue symptoms:

1. DirectAccess acknowledges its on the CorpNet

2. I can Ping IP address of DNS

3. I cannot Ping FQDN of DNS

4. Anything needing to access a FQDN fails (eg Exchange, Lync)

5. Removing the DA Client from the GPO lets the machine work fine on Wireless.

 

In addition, not being able to resolve FQDN means the URLs to establish if a connection is internal or external make the functionality unreliable.

 

Has anyone had any experience of this issue?
