Abelli Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 (edited) One of the task for this summer is to replace old XP 2020 PC and have purchased some Dell i3 desktops. We created a Windows7 sp1pro 64 build disk before the upgrade and successfully built one of the new Dell PC. Now we have tried to build several Pc only for it to freeze at the loading drivers stage. We built a new specific Dell desktop Rebuild disk but with the same result. We have a CC4.5 2012 R2 Server just upgraded Any further ideas would be appreciated. Edited July 31, 2014 by Abelli
nickbro Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Remove the existing drivers, then download the latest drivers from the network card's chipset manufacture's website, import both 32bit and 64bit drivers into RMMC, ensure PE3.1 (3.2) is selected. Then use those drives only in the build disk. If that still doesn't work, contact RM support.
Crumpet Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 (edited) How far in to the build process does it get, if you re-boot after it freezes is windows installed on the PC? Sometimes we have to manually select the correct drivers during the PXE build or the build fails later on if it can't find the correct LAN driver from the server. Edited August 1, 2014 by Crumpet
