mark80 Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 I have been at this school for about 9 months now and 3 months ago we got a new Head who has shaken things up (for the better) in the assessment department. Rather than spill out what we used to do we have gone for a basic approach to assessment recording. My SIMS background is limited but my assessment knowledge is pretty good. The following applies to all Years Target grade set for each year by a combination of 3-4 LoP & staff judgement 4 Collection points a year Each collection point consists of the following, those in bold are teacher inputs YearX [subject Name] Target Grade (Reference only) Current Grade Forecast Grade ATL (Attitude to Learning) BTL (Barriers to Learning) This is what i have done so far 1) Created Grade Sets (GCSE, DMP etc...) 2) Created Result sets (Y7Aut1, Y7Spr1 etc...) 3) Created Aspects for each subject for ATL, BTL, Current Grade and Forecast Grade (near 60 Aspects in total) I intend to import the target grades from spreadsheets directly into SIMS but my question is do i need to create another round of Aspects call [subject name] Target? TIA Mark
SouthCoastSaint Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 If you want it to display in marksheets, use it in any comparison formulas and report it to parents, then yes you will need another set of aspects. 1
AmandaLambert Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 I would also set up a separate result set for your target aspects for each year.
