[android] Star N9770 "restricted access changed"

Hi there,

 

Im very new to the forums actually I registered just to ask this question: My brand new Star N9770 I just got the SIM card for it (from Straight Talk) and I followed the directions exactly but it wont let me do anything at all. But sometimes it comes up as roaming and lets me put terrible quality phone calls through from half a second or send one txt but get no reply. I need help what ever you know please tell me!!!!

The issue, as with quite a few Chinese phones, is that they do not lock on to your sim provider with the correct settings. They tend to use generic or out of date ones. There are quite a few threads on XDA developers about this.

Some point out that often mobile providers can provide you with a file which will configure your phone correctly and IIRC there are some apps that will do that too.
