lafleur1977 Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Hello, We have Kodu Game Lab 1.3.5.0 installed in one of our IT Suites running Windows 7 64-bit. I have been asked if it is possible to disable the startup video as this wastes time during the lesson. Does anybody know a way of doing this? Thanks
foofighterjim Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Not found a way of doing it. As we have roaming profiles it only happens once on first run, our IT department were happy enough with that. 1
lafleur1977 Posted July 2, 2014 Author Posted July 2, 2014 I have found that it only runs the first time too. I have found a way of disabling the video, by deleting the video itself located in c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Research\Kodu Game Lab\Content\Video. Kodu then starts up successfully without the startup video. Thanks
Arthur Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Something else you can do to speed it up is to disable the update check by editing the SiteOptions.xml file in the \Content\Xml subfolder. i.e. From true To false Kodu then starts up successfully without the startup video. I was going suggest that too. Renaming the Intro.wmv file should also do the trick. 4
foofighterjim Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Something else you can do to speed it up is to disable the update check by editing the SiteOptions.xml You can also achieve this by adding /NoUpdate at the end of the shortcut, you can also use /NoInstrumentation to stop it from sending info to Microsoft. 2
