Network Manager – Liverpool / Wirral. £29,528 – £32,072

A forward thinking, dynamic and innovative Network Manager is required to join the ICT department of a well-established school in the Wirral. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a keen interest to remaining up-to-date with the latest technologies and have a desire to drive the direction and ICT infrastructure forward with a strong vision and strategic approach for the future.

 

Ideally with extensive experience managing large networks with multiple servers including numerous devices, a technical support team and having a Microsoft Certified Network or Engineering certification, your duties will include the following :

• Managing crisis situations, which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems

• Evaluating the user needs and system functionality and ensuring that ICT facilities meet these needs

• Managing multiple physical and virtual Windows servers

• Introducing various mobile technologies including tablets and Google Docs and Google Apps

• Updating, Creating and Managing the existing internal server / client ICT infrastructure

• Managing Switches, Routers, Wireless Network, Desktop, Laptops, Macs, Ipads and Printers

• Scheduling maintenance and upgrades of hardware and software systems

• Ensuring a high level of security and protection is maintained for both onsite and remote users

• Ensuring that software licensing laws are adhered to

• Providing users with appropriate support and advice

• Keeping up to date with the latest technologies

• Produce and maintain ICT procedural documentation
