tech_guy Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 Yeah, me too. I'm going to do that to the staff here today. Probably just convince them once and for all I'm bonkers. :-)
DMcCoy Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 I know sims system manager doesn't. Staff members with ' in their name upset it.
Bromcom_John Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 I remember shouting at people a number of years back during the intiial development of our SQL product. that "Yes, it is extremely expected that o'Donnell and the like is going to be a valid name. It needs to cope" We keep finding little things in SQL that are still not completely happy with that sort of thing. In a related but much older fashion.. Anyone ever tried having anything use a teacher abbreviated as PRN or COM and run a Command line parameter including it
tech_guy Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 Yeah, have you tried it on websites? Scary when they fall over :-)
webman Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 The http://www.WorseThanFailure.com archives are full of them
