Viglen Machine not turning on ethernet controller

Hi, We are having a problem with a couple of classrooms with Viglen Genie 644M machines. A number of the Viglen machines seem to be not switching on their ethernet controllers. We have checked the BIOS, ports,the switch and updated the BIOS with no results. Forcing boot from PXE and then cancelling it works some of the time on some machines but the problem doesn't seem consistent. Viglen are unsure as to what is causing it. Has anyone else had similar issues with these machines? We haven't seen any problems with the Dells or other manufacturers.

Hi we had the same issue with 645M machines and we did resolve it, but for the life of me cannot remember how it was resolved...

Thanks, nice to know its not just us. Any idea if it was the viglen hardware or something specific on the network setup?

I would just get Viglen to replace the motherboard they still under warranty?

IIRC I think there is a deep sleep setting stopping WOL, the problem was we got a bit of ahead of ourselves making changes to both the BIOS and adapter driver settings and cannot fathom out what made it work lol.
