Hello peeps,

I am looking for something that allows me to make 3d block models and then let's me export them as jpgs in layers. So for a building that was 10 storeys high there would be 10 2d images. Anyone know of such a tool or something similar that could help me?

Cheers,

Paul

ISTR there is some way of doing minecraft to STL, but any way you can get an STL file you could then use OpenSCAD or Slic3r to produce the sections as STL and then render them as jpg. Should work and could be automated but is a lot of work. Must be a better way ...

I want it as jpgs because I want the children to be able to see how the buildings come together as a layer. Then they can design their own for implementing. Does the BDcraft allow exporting to jpgs?

I misunderstood - thought you were trying to make your own blocks to go in to Minecraft.

So, if I understand correctly, you actually want to export Minecraft structures as images? Minecraft Structure Planner might be able to help, I don't think the exported layers are textured but I assume they include some sort of key:

Yes this is more of what I was looking for. If the layers can be exported in colour then it would be perfect. Trying to avoid installing Java though :/

You can't play Minecraft without Java...
