Allow youtube on VLE via barracuda webfilter?!?

Hi guys and girls,

 

What are the chances of any of you being in the same situation as us? We have the setup as above, VLE from Firefly (amazing) and we use Barracuda for web-filtering.

 

We currently block youtube to students and allow it for staff. The staff are going great-guns on uploading some really engaging and interactive content ready for September. However (obviously), any youtube videos they embed are being blocked on the student side of the VLE. Ok if resources being used by the teacher in lesson, but if they say now go and watch this clip in study period - it won't work until they get home.

 

Has anybody got a way around this?

 

We've looked at youtube for schools/education and it's not that good if i'm honest.
