RDS Device Passthrough

Hi guys

 

We've recently taken on board a couple of primary schools into our academy. They have an RDS connection into our school with device pass through configured for remote printing etc. The problem that we are having is with device pass through and scanning. This is the first time that I have configured pass through and im not sure if this even works at all with scanners.

 

Overall they are wanting to remote scan documents into our corero finance system. Their are scanning using a multi function printer, the printer works fine but she can not scan.

 

Any hints/tips/cheats welcomed and appreciated

We have it set so they still scan to locals machine but on RDP connection it copy files to the server.

 

Scanning over RDP is possible but only through third party apps as far as I know

We are going to take the option of the local drive being passed through rather than used 3rd party software.
