Discover - Where to find DB name?

Hi,

 

SIMS is held on the councils server. Our curriculum machines have been allowed access to the database's so teachers can access.

 

We are now looking at installing Discover on the curriculum machines. It is installed on the councils server as the admin use it and im just waiting to receive the database name but they are busy at the mo and havnt received it yet.

 

I know SIMS uses the connect.ini file.

 

Any idea what Discover uses to store the location of the database?

Blatant copy and paste from SupportNet!

 

the 'Discover.Designer.Desktop.exe.config' file (e.g. C:\Program Files\SIMS\Discover Client or from the Autumn 2013 release: C:\ProgramData\Discover)

 

has "keys" to specify server, database, instance etc.

Thanks vik. Will give it a go tomorrow.

 

Don't know why but I couldbt find that anywhere.
