Are there two different ones of the these?

I keep seeing prices at the £100 mark and prices at the £230 mark - but always named Samsung Galaxy Tab 3.

Anyone know the difference? Thinking about getting my dad one for his birthday.

Or does anyone have a good tablet recommendation? My dad isn't 'tech savvy' so nothing over the top, but I don't want anything 'cheap and nasty'. However, something simple to use without loads of things on it would be great.

Have a look at the hudl from tesco.

You can still get double cash back on your vouchers and the hdmi out is great to stream netflix or the like to any tv with hdmi in. Solid system and fast. Lacks a bit on touch but punch for ya cash is well worth it.

The only Galaxy Tab 3 tablets worth getting in my opinion are the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0" (£159.00) or the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1" (£229.00) since they both have 1280x800 LCDs (compared to the very poor 1024x600 screens of the 7" models).

Tesco's Hudl is very good for the price (as @ZeroNeg mentioned), although the following tablets might be worth looking at too:

Both the Nexus 7 and 10 are updatable to the latest version of Android 4.4 (KitKat).

The next three tablets are probably a bit OTT, but they are very nice. :)

Thanks guys - and Thanks Arthur - that's a really good list to start on. There are so many out there that it's difficult to know where to start.

As to the Hudl Zeroneg - my concern would be the touch not being sensitive enough? My dad loves to learn new things, but won't have the patience for it if it doesn't work 'properly'.

Touch is fine if he has not used any other touch devices. It only seems a little slower if you have used a cross section of tablets before. As an all rounder it is exceptional value and spec.
