Windows 7 Libraries not Redirecting

Hi all,

 

Got a little test domain setup with Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7 SP1.

 

Users have roaming profiles.

 

I have redirected their Documents folder to \\servername\username$ and set the music, pictures and videos folders to follow

 

When looking at their home drive (N) these show perfectly.

 

However, when clicking on the start menu links for Documents, Pictures and Music it shows the library view with only the C:\Users\username\Documents etc shown as the default save location - and unavailable.

 

How can I get the libraries view to show the contents of their home directory folders? Can you tell them to look for \\servername\username$\documents etc?

In GPO redirection tell it to redirect to Users home directory.

 

On the second tab (can't remember off top of my head) I sometimes find that the top 2 boxes need unticking.

 

Eventvwr will provide more info if it not working.

It's currently set to redirect to the home directory.

 

Tried with both options unticked (already had exclusive rights unticked)

 

Looked through event viewer on the client after a logon and all folder redirections are successful.

 

 

EDIT: Tried a new user without the roaming profile and it worked. Now need to find what it is in the profile that is being saved that is preventing the correct folders being added.

 

I've tried creating a new roaming profile that has the default locations in libraries removed but when another user logs in using it they don't get their redirected folders in the library view. Instead it just stays empty.
