ataylor Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Hi, We have a couple of Acer Veriton Z2610G's that seem to corrupt their hard drives fairly frequently. We have tried sticking new hard drives in these machines but after a couple of weeks/months they always end up back in my office. I am a bit stumped on what could be causing this to happen. Any idea's?
chazzy2501 Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Try flipping the settings for the hard disks to or from IDE / AHCI (BIOS). AND if the hard disk itself has the option set the jumper to 1.5Gbp... These machines get quite toasty inside, lowering the brightness reduces that, also try more aggressive power management.
