chrisalltraine Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 I know this has been asked a few times in the past but I thought I would open a new discussion as I am sure many other people would be looking for the same thing. It has finally been agreed with SLT here that using outlook calendaring over Sims.net calendar is far much better with categorisation, meeting scheduling, colour coding, ability to sync to mobile devices etc... Therefore I am going to setup a mailbox with a shared calendar attached (Public folder's are a dying breed Creating Shared Calendars on Exchange 2010 | Steve Goodman's Exchange & Office 365 Blog ) to it and set certain permissions for all staff. What would be such an advantage is if there was a way to automatically sync all staff's Sims.net timetables to Outlook 2013 on a daily basis which updates their personal calendar within outlook. Is there a way to do this without having each staff running an export report? A script that could be set as a schedule task on the Sims Server? Is this something that anyone could or would be willing to create? I would love to hear everyone's thoughts on this. Many thanks Chris
FN-GM Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 We do it using this - SalamanderSoft Limited - Salamander Active Directory Staff and student both have time tables in outlook. Some staff use is as a digital way of doing lesson planning. Once its in outlook you can sync with tablets and phones, a massive plus. 1
