(to keep up with the technical roadmap) Can any recommend any companies who offer the service of moving Sims from one server to another - and also migrating Sims from Windows 2008 R2 and SQL 2008 to Windows 2012 and SQL 2012? Ta!
zag Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 We got capita to do it, cost about 1,200 I seem to remember. Was expensive, but worth it for the peace of mind. They setup everything including SQL 2012 and a new Solus 3 install and the guy was very good. We did install it on windows 2008 R2 though as I prefer that OS. 1

fairm010 Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Can your LA do this? IIRC we paid our LA SIMS team to migrate ours for us. Don't have cost to hand currently.
vikpaw Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 I would recommend the LA or whoever your current support contract is with as it will most likely be cheaper than Capita.
