Apple Configurator and VPP: spreadsheet codes or MDM?

We have a MacBook Pro with Apple Configurator set up to deploy to two trolleys of iPads. I am ploughing through VPP setup, and looking at how that works with paid for apps.

 

Can someone tell me which purchase option in VPP I should choose to deploy with Configurator? The devices managed by Configurator are all supervised.
