installing a trusted root certificate on a chromebook

Hi all,

 

We have recently had a couple of students bring in chromebooks to use but we are having trouble connecting them to the internet. Our network requires all non-domain devices to have a certificate from our Sophos utm installed to connect to https sites. On a laptop, this certificate would be imported to "trusted root certificates", though chromebooks don't seem to have this option. Anyone else had this problem? or does anyone have any suggestions

I've managed to solve this problem on our network, so for anyone with the same issue:

 

The certificate needs to be a .crt file and needs to be placed under "authorities" in the certificate manager

I kind of assumed you already had the .crt file to hand
