Cd30 fault

I've got a company van (vauxhall combo). Inside I have the standard cd30. Got into it today and music is playing but no buttons work. Cannot even turn it up, down or off let alone change station. Can anyone advise?

Hmm, sounds to me like some sort of microcontroller 'crash'.

 

If it were mine, my first try would be to disconnect the power for 30 seconds or so before reconnecting. You can do this either by finding and pulling the radio fuse (maybe in the engine bay fusebox) or pulling it out and disconnecting the cables. HOWEVER - as it's a company vehicle, they might not take kindly to you doing that, especially if it breaks it further. Also, you will need access to a radio code to get it working once you've power cycled. Might be worth checking if anyone has it before attempting.

Thanks for the advice. Took the cables out of CD player for 30 seconds and all works fine again. Can now listen to my Whitney Houston out loud
