TheGrumblingTech Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 (edited) Hi, I've worked a fair amount in the office 365 cloud exchange but just moved to a London school and they are still on Exchange 2003. Local exchange servers are before my time as I've gone straight into cloud services in my previous job but I'm able to create accounts through AD. Well, I know it doesn't show up in mailboxes until first login so guessing it's created, if I send a email to the address it gets returned as doesn't exist. The bit I'm struggling with is finding auto discover, SMTP, or anything. Can anyone provide any help getting this please. Just need to keep it going for a few months before it moves to the cloud. Many thanks Edited April 7, 2014 by TheGrumblingTech

Many thanks Have you logged into the exchange server itself and used the management tools? It doesn't sound like you have and all these features are available via that. It's been so long since I've seen Exchange 2003 that I can't even remember how to load the coal into it, let alone much else, without looking at the managment console for a bit.
TheGrumblingTech Posted April 7, 2014 Author Posted April 7, 2014 Yeah. Just in the system manager at the moment.
TheGrumblingTech Posted April 8, 2014 Author Posted April 8, 2014 Mxtoolbox.com has given me the public ip and also the public DNS for the server of mail.(servername).com. Mx toolbox can't get any smtp response.
