[sims] Disabling SIMS Messaging

Hi gang,

 

Anyone know how, if at all possible, to globally disable SIMS Messaging for all users?

Yes, staff STILL use it and I'm trying to drag them into the 21st (or even 20th!) century and use email.

You could try making a custom group and remove the send message option under Core - Homepage - Message - Send Message

If it works, you'd have to make a new group derived from the one most staff are in, and remove it there. I think the permissions are not 'most restrictive' so if all staff are in multiple groups you'd have to make the change to them all, or create new versions of them all.
