tobiasclarity Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Hi All, We are just about to add a further 15 iPhones to our site and currently i am just using iPhone Config Utility to roll out policies at setup. I wanted to know what everyone is doing to enable them to remotely manage and/or roll out apps to the iOS devices. I found on the Apple site about MDM but i believe this is all outsourced to third party companies. If this is the only way can anyone make any recommendations. Many thanks as always
tobiasclarity Posted March 27, 2014 Author Posted March 27, 2014 Got a mac server? Use profile manager if so? That is primarily how i had been planning on doing it however this doesnt support rolling out of apps from what i can work out, unless anyone can advise me different
ste1988 Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 You can now, If you have the latest version of server http://krypted.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/Screen-Shot-2013-10-07-at-4.08.32-PM.png
tobiasclarity Posted March 27, 2014 Author Posted March 27, 2014 Does it have to be Mavericks sever or can i do this with Mountain Lion server? ideally i wanted to put off upgrading to Mavericks
ste1988 Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 To have the lastest server app, you need to have Mavericks, unfortunately! 1
Dkeen94 Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Cisco's Meraki Systems Manager is a great all round MDM with alot features and options to add restrictions and manage your iphones, ipads, android devices and windows devices. it is all free and can be deployed really really easily! (Download one small app or add in the meraki profile using configurator) We use this for all of our iPads, loan laptops and corporate mobile phones One More Thing... ITS FREE
