ICT/IT Assistant/Helpdesk/Desktop - £14,000 (FTE @ £25,000)

Independent primary school, near Watton at Stone in Hertfordshire, requires an IT assistant to support the network manager deliver high class support to school users in a part time/term time only basis.

Covering the 10am to 4.30pm shift you will be supporting school users with regards to IT use, taking calls and helping users at the desktop, keeping support records and maintaining the IT consumables, helping with Audio Visual (AV) (projectors, audio and interactive whiteboards), documentation, research new technologies.

As a minimum you will have an active interest in IT, ideally with some commercial experience within an IT environment, a helpdesk or another school. You will be approachable, a good communicator, learn quickly, able to work within a small team and be supportive and self-sufficient where necessary. You will know Windows 7 and Office 2007/2010, any experience of apple products, active directory or basic network principles would be great.

This role will suit someone who is happy with 30 hours per week and 37 weeks per year and really wants to progress their career in 1st/2nd line IT support in a friendly fulfilling environment
