Novalee Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 I have bought a Plantronics headset for one of teachers to use speech to text. Just trying to get it going now but, unless I hold the microphone RIGHT next to my mouth, it doesn't pick up what I say. It sits by default a sensible distance away - clearly as by design on the manufacturer, but it's not practical to hold it right next to my face - plus you get quite a bad recording as well that way. Is there anything I can alter on my machine so it picks up the voice better? The headset has really good reviews so I imagine this can be resolved somehow? Thanks.
LosOjos Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 If you open up the system audio properties, then go to recording devices and open the properties for the headset, have a look for a check box along the lines of "boost input" (sorry, all from memory!) - - - Updated - - - If you open up the system audio properties, then go to recording devices and open the properties for the headset, have a look for a check box along the lines of "boost input" (sorry, all from memory!)
Novalee Posted March 24, 2014 Author Posted March 24, 2014 I have done that @LosOjos but I can't seen anything similar to 'boost input'. Thanks though :-) - - - Updated - - - I have done that @LosOjos but I can't seen anything similar to 'boost input'. Thanks though :-)
