OSX and Office

We've got Office 11 for Mac on our room fulls of 10.6.8 imacs (upgrading to 10.9 over the summer!), which works OK apart from one irritation. Whenever a new users logs in they have to got through the personalisation process which is a bit slow and a nuisance.

 

Now if it was a windows PC I'd simply put the details from the relevant registry hive into the Default user profile, but is there a similar way to do this in OSX?

If you were using Casper Suite, you could just run Composer and launch MS Office 2011 on a new user to capture the plist created at startup (registration), then pre-populate this with default details and copy into the default user template of your image. Then, every user who logs in would have the registration or FirstRun plist pre-populated and they wouldn't get prompted.
