Asomodai Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Hello all. I am a lonely technician with no Network Manager who has been tasked with setting up student email accounts. Unfortunately the current Exchange server has all the addresses in a GAL and I cannot restrict students from seeing those addresses. I could move those addresses to a different address book and redirect the staff to see those... However I would rather setup a separate server to help learn a bit more about exchange setups. That and I don't want to break something that is working. I have installed Exchange 2013 on a physical server (Server 2008) I have connected via ECP, however EX2013 has recognized the current exchange server and has shared the information. I want this to be separate from the old EX2010 server. I presume it is because we have a single domain, is there anyway to get around this? - Separate student exchange server with their own GAL connected to AD. Please treat me like a layman as I am out of my depth!
Asomodai Posted March 20, 2014 Author Posted March 20, 2014 Never mind. I used EX2013 to create a new GAL in shell and then did the rest with EX2010
