[sims] Disable Driver Signing - Hyper-V

Hi,

 

We are in the process of getting ready to switch from E1 to SIMS. As a prerequisite for setting up the server, they have requested the following:

 

If using Server 2012 you will need to disable Driver Signature Enforcement prior to the installation day - this can be enabled after the installation if required. Advice on how to do this can be found here:

However, as we are using Hyper-V I don't seem to be able to press F8 to select Advance Options as the reboot is so quick. Does anyone have any other way that this can be achieved that they have tried themselves?

Hyper-V VMs do still have a virtual machine BIOS; however, all of the BIOS features may be set in the virtual machine configuration or using a script. As a conseqence of this, Microsoft has removed the ability to access the BIOS at boot time.

Thanks for this. I have looked in the Hyper-V settings and can't seen any options for this and I can't find any information about disabling driver signing using scripts on the web.

I took a look around and this was the best I could find

I assume this is for the OpenVPN they use for InTouch\hosted SLG. If your hosting SIMS locally on your hardware I wouldn't worry, the main SIMS system will be fine. It's just the OpenVPN client which they setup anyway and they'll be able to help when they remote in to set it up.
