That's a very good point!! I was going to look into trolley tokens as freebies for the ANME, but will hold off now!!

 

I am sure they will be happy with £1 coins... ;)

Damn, now I want to be in ANME... though I am not an 'NM'.

doesent the line at asda count? (other supermarkets are avaliable lol)

 

also its quicker and debatably easier for me to walk to asda than use their website then wait for a can to turn up and i rarely have enough stuff to get over the minimum order level (i debated it when i was ill but without just ordering stuff i dont need right now (so lots of toothpaste/loo roll other stuff without a use by date)i couldnt get close)

That's a good point too... we do get dragged kicking and screaming into going shopping from time to time too though... also handy for gym lockers... though I doubt they'd change as quickly...

Well they call the job role ICT/Network Support Assistant. Basically sole support for a Primary School and second to the Network Manager in the Secondary, so when he is off, I get all of the fun. ;)

Only asking to make sure you don't work for a company... You're welcome to join... it's not "just" for NM's... it's for all IT Support Staff employed by schools/colleges etc. - Join | Association of Network Managers in Education ANME :)

Hang on... Lighter?... Thinner?... Has the new £1 coin been designed by Apple? ;)

 

You'll have to spend an extra 25p per pound to make it work like the old one though :)

Seems about right with the value of the pound falling. :D

 

It will also be incompatible with every blinking machine that accepts the current coin. Typical :censored: Apple!

Ahh, my mistake. It is actually worth thruppence.

 

the new £1 coin is based on the design of the old 12-sided three-penny bit, a popular British coin which went out of circulation in 1971

Your calculations are wrong @DaveP. The old 3d coin would be valued at 1.25p or £0.0125 (the old sixpence was worth 2.5p)

 

So the old 3d coin would be equivalent to 18p now.
