isight not detected

Hi all my macbook has isight built in but it is not being detected. For example when I try and load up photobooth it says it cannot open as no camera has been found

 

any ideas?

Is the green light on constantly?

I assume you have also restarted the laptop.

Do you have photo booth open or any other application which will use the camera at the same time?
