SimoninEaston Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 I've been asked to look into using Excel to 'crunch data' - what are the TopTen commonest requests for spreadsheets from teaching colleagues? I can start the ball rolling with a suggestion of my own: The Numbers of Students achieving A* to C for any given subject... OK maybe not actually ten but any suggestions will be welcome!
elsiegee40 Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 (edited) Progress, progress, progress! That's what Ofsted are after. That's what your Governors will want. That's what your teachers should be measuring. Where were the students when they started? Where are they now? Where should they be? ( And thus can teacher X have a pay rise?!) Whether Excel is the most effective tool is another matter. Edited March 16, 2014 by elsiegee40
SimoninEaston Posted March 17, 2014 Author Posted March 17, 2014 If anyone feels generous enough to send me a couple of examples of progress tracking uing Excel, I would be grateful - anything'll do new or old, just to get me started along the rocky road. Can email me direct to my gmail account with the user name of simonineaston, not written here for spambot reason...
