MS DPM Bakup advice

Morning,

 

Jus curious how other schools are using the Protection groups to backup. I had to reinstall mine so thought I would redo the schedules.

 

I currently backup the Hyper-V's every other day 3 on one day, 3 the next and a nightly backup of all my data, my SQLs and the exchange data. I then backup to tape over the weekend with a 3 month retention.

Be careful with tape, it is well documented that tape backup restoration can fail up to 50% of times!

 

We use cloud backup just because of the extra redundancy and disaster proofing that it offers.
