Exchange 2010 autodiscover

I have come across an issue with Exchange 2010 which I believe is down to Autodiscover not being configured correctly. We are unable to set Out of Office within Outlook (it works fine in OWA) and we are also unable to share calendars in Outlook. Nobody has been bothered about doing this before so we've never noticed the problem. After some Googling I'm pretty certain that it's down to Autodiscover not being configured correctly. However, none of the articles I've found are really any help. Does anyone have a basic setup guide for Autodiscover or any tips or advice? Thanks.
