DNS Issues

I am having a issue with DNS, i am unable to access our internally hosted moodle by typing the external address into the web browser. The issue looks like our DNS server is pointing to the external DNS instead of the internal one. Can anyone help with this please?

Do you have an internal zone setup which has the FQDN set up to point at the internal IP?

 

This is what we have here:

 

http://www.school.county.sch.uk

 

External DNS points to public IP

Internal DNS has a zone 'school.county.sch.uk'

|_ In this zone there is an A record pointing www at our internal server IP.
