Success Maker

I was wondering if you knew anything about Success Maker?

 

When the staff or students try and run the program on the machines they get an error message of “Error: JZ006, CaughtIOException.java.net ConnectException:Connection refused.

 

It seems like something isn't running on the server, maybe a service?? but it’s not a program I've ever used so I'm a bit stuck

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

And what a program it is! If you school relies on it you may want to seriously consider a support contract if it keeps giving trouble.

good luck, I have my own woes with it at the moment, its a horrendously made program from an admin/technical pov I feel from my dealings with it, though I understand that it is quite excellent in what it delivers to the pupils

I have had similar issues with Success Maker here, in my experience it is normally due to do with the Sybase database service not running but this link talks you through step by step
