genesis Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Hi We recently launched our new website and within our website we have a separate section for curriculum department and , maths science, English etc. Now each head of the year wanted to have access to their webpage section and post documents and links under their relevant sections. If the teaching staff needs to post and make changes, I don't wan't every time they ask IT support to do this and this will take lot of our time. Have you come across any similar situation, . Will a dedicated admin access for couple of users each department will sort this situation.Any suggestions much appreciated Thanks
LosOjos Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Are you using a CMS or was the website entirely developed in house?
genesis Posted March 4, 2014 Author Posted March 4, 2014 Developed by a external company with their own CMS
LosOjos Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 You need to contact that company then. One of the major advantages of a CMS over a traditional website is to allow granular access to edit/add documents to the website, how you do so depends on the CMS used
