Jobos Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Looking at the Kensington Charge and Sync Cabinet and wondered if iPads with the Griffin Survivor case will still fit?
yugo Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Not sure what size the survivor case is but the slots are roughly 17mm wide. I got caught out with this myself, our iPads have to have their covers removed before they are put in.
Jobos Posted February 27, 2014 Author Posted February 27, 2014 Thanks. Just had a look at the iPads and they would need a 25mm wide space so that rules out the Kensington but I don't fancy syncing iPads one at a time
yugo Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 If its just to sync maybe something like this would suit your needs.
VeryPC_Colin_M Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Hi @Jobos how many do you need to charge and sync? Cheers, Col
Jobos Posted February 27, 2014 Author Posted February 27, 2014 Hi @Jobos how many do you need to charge and sync? Cheers, Col There are 5 iPad 2 and 25 iPad mini 1
Jobos Posted February 27, 2014 Author Posted February 27, 2014 Looks like the Griffin MultiDock will take the iPads and cases
VeryPC_Colin_M Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Cool. How about going for an Isis iPad Charge and Sync trolley? Around the £1199 mark and £75 carriage and you can mix and match different device types and sizes. The iPad trolley is designed to accommodate all iPads, iPad minis and pretty much all Android and Microsoft Tablets. The shelf slot size (mm) is 272d x 210w x 32h (big enough so you can leave your iPads in their covers or cases, such as the Apple Smart and Griffin Survivor cases —but best to check your device & case dimensions before ordering). Let me know if you're interested and I'll quote you happy. Have you got a MacBook already for the donkey work?
VeryPC_Colin_M Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 The Griffin MultiDock is a very s3xy bit of kit. You looking for several charge and sync trolleys / boxes or one that will comfortably accommodate all of your devices? I've helped customers buy a few of them in my time (well this month) and they haven't missed a beat. I don't think there are any 30 bays available in stock, so there may be a lead time if you want to order one. There're tonnes of the 10 bay though and they're very well priced, plus you can stack them.
Jobos Posted February 27, 2014 Author Posted February 27, 2014 Yes we are looking at the 3 X 10 bay Griffin Mulitdock as it will fit on the bench we have and didn't want a trolley type as no room for it.
VeryPC_Colin_M Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Cool! They'll look mint. Can I quote you? My email is [email protected] feel free to contact me directly and I'll raise an official quote for you @Jobos. Cheers, Col
