karan_jhr Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 We are an educational institution and want to get rid of the old hardware to mark OMR sheets I need your suggestions to select the best OMR software available out there Free or Paid I want a solution for a longer period of time Thanks
Asgard Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Remark. We do all of our student questionnaires /focus groups / feedbacks. It's great we put about 500 of the replies on an MFD, scan to PDF and then Remark goes through them and compiles all the answers. You can use another program called Bartender to create individual forms (like the Council/Voter register with a unique barcode) 1
karan_jhr Posted November 24, 2014 Author Posted November 24, 2014 Do i need a special OMR reader scanner or any scanner will work Please tell me the specific names of the software used for OMR Scanning and the software to make Scanner Readable OMR Sheets thanks
Asgard Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 (edited) Hi I'd look to download a trial copy of remark http://www.gravic.com/remark/Office-OMR-Scanning-Software/ Create the form in Word and away you go From what we have seen you can use any scanner, as long as they output the scan files to PDF. But as I said previously we use our college wide MFDs (Konica Minolta C360/282) which has a large capacity to take a lot of the responses and throw them into one large PDF which remark then looks at and collates the results.
