How can I hide subjects in a SIMS with results based on a class

I think there is no way do to this, but here goes. I have an individual report template that shows KS4 progress over every half term of the year. I've set up the template to remove blank results. I want the report to hide subjects where the student has changed options in KS4, but would already have a result in the previous reporting period.

Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

Do you use resultsets?

You could create a resultset called optedout or something, anything really, and transfer the results to that for those kids. It would be manual but would mean you can get rid of the rows in template and not lose data.

On the other hand, if you don't mind losing data, is deleting the results an option? After exporting them to a spreadsheet for backup of course.

Or maybe do some conditional formulae in the marksheet that feeds the report. So when looking at progress if there is no present grade, then to blank out the new result. This probably won't work if in your report you are showing last grade, new grade, then the progress.

I'd really want the data in there to show that they changed subjects. It's useful info and probably does affect their progress in the new subject.
