Driver for Sony VGC-VA1 Audio

Used to have XP (maybe 32 bit ?)

 

Now put on Wins 7 64 bit and no sound

 

High Def Audio Driver (VEN 8384 DEV 7661) has exclamation mark - windows update says best driver is installed

 

Also multimedia device with exclamation mark (VEN 1131 DEV 7133)

 

Have tried various downloads without success

Sony : VGC-VA1 updates | Download updates for VGC-VA1

 

 

Side note, VGC-VA1 is a European only. Not sure what the american equivalent is but you may be able to find a generic driver of the American version and it may work. Something worth looking into.

On the downloads site, were there any downloads for XP or Vista ?

 

Just wondering if you have tried the XP or Vista x64 bit drivers for the audio to see if they work ?
